Sometimes the answers I get don’ t feel right to me, and I often stress due tu lack of trust. And I keep searching…. and then suddenly there it is, clear as water. I have been looking for training, to change careers, and the very first course I was referred to was the right one for me but, because I hadn’t consider it carefully, I kept on looking at other options that didn’t feel right. So I will add thank you to the prayer: “help & thank you” Read More2 Reply Irene7 years agoIreneThere have been many occasions when this has happened but a memorable occasion was the day I arrive back in Auckland after being in Christchurch during the big earthquake and my dear friend Helen was there at the airport with a great big hug. At that moment in time it was the thing I needed the most and God in his great providence provided. What a great God we serve. 3 Reply kathleen7 years agokathleenA friend at work listened and offered support and guidance because of some stressful situations. Just when I needed it most. Thank you Nancy. 3 Reply Deborah7 years agoDeborahDeborah 2 seconds ago About five years ago, when my husband and I were separated, I had an emotional breakdown. My best friend would drive me to my therapy appointments until I felt well enough to drive. When I got better, my husband and I got back together and are happier than ever. I will be forever grateful to both of them for standing by me, without judgment? It’s kind of like he senses that I am not doing well, and he gives me some companionship. I love Hal so much and can’t wait to see him Tuesday night! 3 Reply John Turner7 years agoJohn TurnerWithout a doubt, it was when I was drinking way too much, and destroying my relationship with my family and friends. They told me I needed help, then basically told me I was unwelcome in their presence until I got some. That gave me the wake-up call I needed; I joined AA, and things have gotten infinitely better since. I’m five years sober, and my life is better now than I ever could’ve imagined it could be. 5 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteAn old and dear friend helped me get through another phase of the divorce process last week and it has helped me feel like I passed some kind of a threshold. I can’t teally explain what it was, but it felt as if I could bear the rest of this. I know it’s not over yet, but I’m grateful for seeing that this too will pass. That maybe in some ways what doesn’t kill us does make us stronger. 5 Reply Sheila7 years agoSheilaWhen my Mom and Dad were terminally ill and suffering, Hospice was called in. They made the last days of my Mom and Dad’s life as comfortable as possible. They gave me and my family much support. Watching my Mom and Dad suffer was heartbreakng. Hospice gave the right kind of help when it was so needed and I am forever grateful to them. 4 Reply Deb7 years agoDebMy son. After I was divorced, ALL of my money was taken by the IRS because my husband owed back taxes and he was under their radar. My son paid my rent, but he also told me I would always be taken care of. Fortunately, I found a wonderful situation that redeemed the pain and anguish, but knowing I would never be abandoned meant renewed life for me. 5 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteDeb, What a kind and generous son you have. Full love loving kindness and compassion. Thank you for sharing. My oldest son had been an anchor in my life since my divorce. I I really appreciate his devotion and care. 4 Reply Deb7 years agoDebI am glad you have a wonderful son, too, Antoinette. Divorce is so difficult. 1 Reply John7 years agoJohnThis morning I was really struggling with a conflict I am having with an individual who is as focused and as dedicated as I am to our common task. I pulled up Bruce Schneider’s Energetic Self Perception chart and was so surprised at how useful it was in helping me frame my situation and consider paths moving forward. When I sat down to write and reflect on the situation, I really had no sense of where I would end, but I am extremely grateful to be in a far more positive place. 4 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchulteWhen has someone given me the right kind of help just when I needed it? First and foremost, that would the Guardian Archangel, the one who has all wisdom as its own nature and will always be accompanying every individual through to Theosis. What the Eastern Religions ( and the copies made by the New Age beliefs ) call “Karma” are but the “corrections” one receives from ones Guardian Archangel, the one who has “the Law is written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness … ‘ (Romans 2: 15). But unlike Eastern views Karma is NOT a punishment. It is lesson given to the Present-Day-Personality’s self, the egoism, to know the truth. In every fault, every mistake, there is a lesson behind which one will get. So, it is not a punishment. It is a necessary condition. And O’yes sometimes these “stings of consciousness” are very painful, yet they are always deserved and for a good purpose. This question reflects back on the a recent “Question of the Day” “When do know there is enough” When one over does a bad habit one will be re-minded accordingly and justly. It required to first understand what was wrong in my perception/ behavior and to say “yes” to change it. Learning that to trust life, to trust and to say “yes”, that whatever is present in our lives is the right kind of help helps to evolve whatever life wants us to evolve, teach or do. And this often is through good friends and/or life itself. Thank you so much, dear friends, and thank you deeply, life. Dr. Arnold Rubin gave me just the right kind of help when I needed it. He didn’t rush to surgery, didn’t rush to anything really. Just offered his renowned expertise just when I needed it. I am alive today some 15 years later because of his care. I don’t necessarily believe doctors are gods, but he was blessedly the right doc at the right time. (My parents speak of him reverentially!) 8 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteChristina, What a challenging experience! You are a very strong and wise person.
