An example of such wisdom is Rumis poetry, and today’s Word of the Day is one of my very favorite ones: ‘Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’ doesn’t make any sense. Rumi 3 Reply Juan F7 years agoJuan FWell saud ursula. I’ve learned much from her in my lifetime, have much to be grateful for in her generosity towards me, the lessons she taught and her patience. She passed away suddenly last year, and now that she is gone I feel more and more gratitude towards the gifts she gave, that still open up and keep coming even after her passing. I still have an abundance to be grateful for and learn from her. He has been an amazing nurse to me for the past years of being sick. I don’t know how he managed sometimes with his load and mine to carry. And God, of course, because there are so many gifts of people and situations that come to me from multiple places. All are part and parcel of that love and care, though. 5 Reply Ursula7 years agoUrsulaAine, I admire your and your husband’s love for each other! Beautiful! 1 Reply Shawna J Starke7 years agoShawna J StarkeYou’re fortunate to have such a wonderful person so close to you to care for you in that way. I’m happy to see that you’re well cared for 🙂 0 Reply Ben7 years agoBenMy grandmother comes to mind, with her recitations of poetry and stories told during nights at Cape Cod when I was a child. These poems and stories fed my soul in a way that was rare as a kid – with the beauty of poetic language, with love for life’s wonder, with a sense of the fulfillment found in serving others, and with humor. 7 Reply KC7 years agoKCMy parents, grandparents and ancestors. Just the extraordinary gift of life itself. From my parents I received abundant sustenance, except spiritually; but then I don’t think they had it to give. Realize lately how much they need prayer. Maybe it’s the “solo” ones who need it most! 5 Reply Palm7 years agoPalmMy parents: food, a home, education, good values, most importantly love. I have my parents I can thank for giving birth to me and taking care of me. My family and many others who have taught me how to walk, talk, read, and write etc. I am humbled by and grateful for universal Truth and all beings which have contributed to my well-being in so many ways.
