Looking forward to that. 2 Reply Ose7 years agoOseNot today, but yesterday the walking together with a friend in a kind of recreated wild nature, where already many plants and animals settled. Inside there is this feeling of a beautiful miracle that this recreation of a lake`s shore is there now for the sake of nature itself. I still celebrate this, it is joy, as is the shared, intense time with my friend. 2 Reply Carol7 years agoCarolI just read all of today’s reflections–all quiet miracles and extremely helpful to me today. Yep, that’s it! 4 Reply Karen7 years agoKarenFor me this morning, the quiet miracle is the peacefulness in my mind and heart from a recent breakthrough in the morning sickness and anxiety I’ve experienced for the past year and a half, with the help of a skilled friend and willingness to see, and the hand of grace. The quiet miracle is that I woke today feeling whole and healthy and open to the mystery of what the day will bring. I am so grateful. 3 Reply Mary7 years agoMaryIt sounds like you have been through a lot for the last year and a half. I am so happy to hear about your breakthrough. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes As an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. A poem by Rumi. I too seem to be invited to make friends with those darn demons these days, to ‘welcome and entertain them all’, and to ‘meet them at the door laughing’! I do hope there is more joy and lightness in befriending those darn demons. Hurrah for the path of forgiveness! Warmest wishes for your day, and whoever you meet ????????… KC 1 Reply Antoinette7 years agoAntoinetteThank you KC! I’m saying, please to meet you! And how long would you like to stay? Make yourself completely comfortable. It’s a truly amazing process and I never thought to stop fighting them off by the way I was busy or ran like I was in four triathlons! They just kept running along with me! Lol! But yesterday I stoped and opened the door to them! And wow! 1 Reply KC7 years agoKCWonderful Antoinette. I hope they continue to be friendly. In a few hours I will practice my faith in silence among other Quakers and that too, as the Spirit stirs among those in worship, is worthy of celebration.
