collecting stones along the beach
Right now my pale blue terry cloth isotoner slippers make me very happy. My feet are in heaven. After a busy day on my feet very soft slippers are truly a joy.

The quiet times at the community garden when I can appreciate the connection with myself, other gardeners, and with the world.
Trees, spring bulbs coming into bloom, children at play when they don’t know anyone is watching, puppies, the first strawberries of summer.
Looking through the window at the quiet view, the leaves of the trees moving with the wind and the changing colours of the sky
Sun on water–sparkly!
I love reading the simple joys that people are sharing here today. For me right now, the multiple colors and kinds of stone that compose pebbles by a river come to mind. And tiny white and yellow and purple flowers beside the sidewalk trembling in the breeze. And reading the words of anyone sharing their heart honestly with compassion and curiosity. And sitting with a friend on her porch reading Mary Oliver poems out loud in the sun. And the barely-emerging light green leaves on the branches of trees. And the little galactic spirals of ferns. And the smell of ginger tea. And a beautiful folky melody. And breathing in what I’m carrying in my heart, and holding it in love…
So romantic, Ben … and poetic! Thank you! ????????
Thank you Ursula! ????
Ben, is that an Angel’s Trumpet with you in your picture?!
Hi Deb, I’m not sure! This picture was taken at the botanical garden at Smith College 3 or 4 years ago. That sounds like a great name for it though!
This made me smile Deb
… and I love your post Ben
Thank you Palm!
Avocados give me joy! ????
SUN,
just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow, lies the seed that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the rose
coming back to the breath
What are the simplest things that bring me joy?
“Stay close to anything that makes you glad you are alive.
HAFIZ”
My comment then s….Anything that makes me aware I am alive. ( because being reminded that I am ALIVE, makes all “anythings” simple in comparison)
The ‘Daily Word’ answered the ‘Daily question’ !

Stepping into a whaleboat powered by oars and rowing into the morning mist on the ocean. Leaving shortly to do just that!
Wow, that sounds exciting and beautiful, Kevin!

My life is a simple, busy one and brings me joy. My morning daily meditation books, these writings & reading others’, coffee, food, nature, my walks, living with my cat, Lucy, my lunches with friends on Saturdays, family. I guess God is probably pretty simple and so is my life.
Laughing, singing, dancing, being in nature, being with loved ones and friends, looking joyfully at this clear blue sunny sky even if unexpectedly it is almost zero degrees Celsius outside, while inside , there are warm thoughts and wishes for my fellow people, friends, family and loved ones.
Being able to breath through uncongested sinuses. The sun on my face. The fragrance of Maui Rain, a fragrance I just bought today. Wearing flowers in my hair.
My last thoughts of the day as I slip into sleep one more time.
