There is so much to be grateful for. Each breath I take is a gift. 1 Reply Mary7 years agoMaryI was going to say that the beauty in my immediate surroundings reside within me. I am noticing myself feeling more confident in myself. My inner critic is not so harsh. I just feel like standing up for myself and believing in myself more. This website is helping. Looking inward with self compassion has been helpful too. Another site that has helped me with guided meditations is selfcompassion.org. This gratefulness website has given so much to me. I feel so supported by those who write in and I learn so much. My thinking has become more expansive from reading so many wise, authentic, and heart felt reflections. I am so grateful and wish much love to all. With the cold night last night, we have all our houseplants temporarily pulled off the deck and into the dining room. This means that I can see a lovely lemon yellow hibiscus bloom from where I sit! 5 Reply Linda7 years agoLindaBeauty is all around me . It is in the house where I have created a warm and cozy atmosphere with multiple beautiful houseplants, precious cats, fresh flowers, warm nurturing color, candles, crystals, animal and plant sculptures and artwork, wonderful sound system with fabulous music, my 3 season glassed in porch complete with swing on which I observe my beautiful yard. I love to create special areas in which to relax, enjoy, and just “be”. 7 Reply Mary H7 years agoMary HThe morning sun filtering thru the cedar trees and the resulting shadows. 5 Reply Ose7 years agoOseEverywhere, and just when I was having lunch together with a dear friend, it was the shared friendship, the talking about essential themes like dealing with vulnerability and how to “unarmour” ourselves that made lunch and our meeting being an experience full of beauty. 5 Reply Deb7 years agoDebI sit in my wing back chair by a window on the 2nd floor of my home overlooking the houses, trees and in the distance, Lake Superior (the largest unfrozen lake on the planet!). Close at hand are my books, my pens, ink. This is my sacred space. I feel so blessed to have and be here! 5 Reply Julie7 years agoJulieIt seems as if the trees have exploded with leaves in the last few weeks. I am in awe of the amazing layers of colors outside my second floor office window. The many versions of green from pine trees, giant oaks, and maple. And scattered amongst the green with light dancing on it is the amazing dark red color of an old Japanese Maple for contrast. Right now the wind must be blowing as all that color is gently swaying. My heart swells from the beauty and my gratitude. 5 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchulteRumi says,……………….. Today, like every day, we wake up empty. And frightened. Right now, the beauty in my immediate surrounding is the “musical instrument” which is the 3 bodies I am in, physical, Psychical and Noetical, as an incarnated Human BE-ing. As the ancient Master have passed on the what is now called “Sufism” they knew that, “the Human Body is the perfect reflector of Cosmic Mind”. And they taught specific contemplation / meditation exercises using breathing techniques which are designed to enhance the Etheric Vitality of all three bodies ( and the etheric doubles of each) by directing that breath and using visualization, filling those three bodies with Luminous – Colorless white light. This white light they called “Al-Aha” and this causes the reflector to become more and more a “reflector of cosmic mind”. That is the immediate surroundings right now. Maybe this is too personal of a question, but I am curious. I think the way we start our day matters, but not everyone has the luxury they say for mindfulness. Do you believe mindfulness meditation is a luxury or a necessity? 0 Reply Ed Schulte7 years agoEd SchulteAntoinette it will be difficult to give a brief reply but here goes. Antoinette it will be difficult to give a brief reply but here goes. Firstly …”mindfulness” …is a common buzz word around spiritual / health / media, due to Zen being so popular….but as the ancient Wise One said “Everything is Mind” , so where does the word “mindfulness’, as an action, begin? Here is another Koan for them is pursue, But I, as an Essene Christian don”t have to ask that question. So when you ask “Do you believe mindfulness meditation is a luxury or a necessity? “ I have to rely….the whole meaning of Being a Human Being is “user of Mind in its totality” and add here …with greater privileges that even our brothers the Archangels have. “Meditation” is another word that has been used in common spiritual language but again , without correct and complete understanding of the word “Mind” it is just another point of confusion …..rather then clarity. So…keeping it simple here….you asked “what is your routine or ritual each morning”. I am sure you are familiar with the expression “give us this day our daily bread”, (and “bread” here doesn’t mean the food you buy at the local bakery?) It means give us the Etheric Vitality that the Holy Archangels use to maintain and sustain the three bodies of each of us. In a VERY health, intelligent Human, approx. 70% of that Etheric Vitality is used up by those Archangels so 30% is available for that Human to use as he / she choses to. Moving around / enjoying creation / being creative / Loving / etc . Sadly the average human lives unconscious of who/what it is so abuses the bodies / wastes energy on emotions such as hatred, jealousy, envy etc …so has nothing left to enjoy life with. That should be enough explanation so now I can say….my morning (IOW as soon as the Archangels allow me to return into my bodies) routine, is an standard Essene Christian routine is to duplicated the work I did while I was out of the body ( they kicked me out to be truthful here ) by inhaling air and Luminous-Nonreflected-White-Light ( ***visualization*** here) with each breath , on a 6 beats of the heart count …directing the white light to parts of the body….then exhaling …on 6 beat count….. send the spent air ONLY, leaving the white light in its place. Do this until the entire body is Luminous White in the field visible with the third eye. Then give thanks to the Source ( because I have just enhanced the amount of “bread” I have available over and above what the Holy Archangels had to use up on me or the nightly maintenance )…and proceed to enjoy Life and the gift of experiencing what it is to be a Human Being, every day. ***visualization*** As the Sufi so correctly say…”Visualization is indeed Heaven”.
