In 1994 I had the chance to go to a lecture with Br.David. Afterwards I asked him what he would tell somebody who has to face heavy fear and anxiety. His answer was : the opposite of fear is not safety but trust. These words have accompanied me ever since.

The eyes of the child were silently looking at its mother in stillness and awe, conveying its pure love, while the mother held her child with even inner stillness and looked at it with deep love. It had a deep impact on me and taught me. Have I ever loved the way I saw yesterday? I can feel love deeply, but do I express it? Or do I wait to be loved first? The moment taught me that to be open to love is possible any moment. It is me who has to open up to it from inside. I have to do it. Nothing is more important now. It is essential for my life.
