I have only known him for year and half. 0 Reply Doreen Nixon6 years agoDoreen NixonSarah! 2 Reply Patito6 years agoPatitoHeidi 2 Reply Alicia6 years agoAliciaA man at our church comes to my mind, rather a new member. He started cooking for all the church meals; then he started inviting homeless people to come in and eat with us; then he started giving some of these people a hand up; then he invited them to come and sit with him in church. I was just about finished with church, and certainly this rather staid and stuck church. This man’s commitment to the Jesus ethic has brought me back. I love the way he served as a model for all. 0 Reply Sylvie6 years agoSylvieIn 1994 I had the chance to go to a lecture with Br.David. Afterwards I asked him what he would tell somebody who has to face heavy fear and anxiety. His answer was : the opposite of fear is not safety but trust. These words have accompanied me ever since. 5 Reply Christina6 years agoChristinaWow, how lucky you are! Wonder what he’d have to say about spiritual doubt? 3 Reply Barbara6 years agoBarbaraThe same answer I would expect. 0 Reply Melania6 years agoMelaniaJack, who told a story about himself. I found myself in awe by his humility and willingness to speak about his teachability and his discipline in staying the course regarding a terrible chronic disease. He inspired, touched, and challenged me. 5 Reply Elizabeth M Jones6 years agoElizabeth M JonesMy grandmother. She was so full of life, so full of faith and goodness. Her love for the garden and for growing things laid the foundation in me for the love of growing and planting and she was the first missionary in my life. I saw from her how she cared for others, for the marginalised for the poor and how she loved all.. 5 Reply Michael6 years agoMichaelMs Caverly, Mr Wilson who are educators that care about their students. grateful 3 Reply Ose6 years agoOseYesterday, I saw a newborn being lovingly held in the arms of its mother. The eyes of the child were silently looking at its mother in stillness and awe, conveying its pure love, while the mother held her child with even inner stillness and looked at it with deep love. The special was somehow that mother and child were deeply connected, but there was freedom as well between them, which made it so special, the intense bonding, while freedom was there as well. The child looked at its mother as if saying: my love, you are my mother, how blessed am I, thank you that it is you being with me and sharing and accompanying the journey of my life. Many people stood around, but it was a moment full of wonder, where I was allowed to be witnessing this moment. It touched me deeply, and a smile of happiness arose on my face all day. May your life be blessed, dear mother and dear newborn soul. Thank you dearly. It had a deep impact on me and taught me. Have I ever loved the way I saw yesterday? I can feel love deeply, but do I express it? Or do I wait to be loved first? The moment taught me that to be open to love is possible any moment. It is me who has to open up to it from inside. I have to do it. Nothing is more important now. It is essential for my life. Lord, please help me finding the door to open up. Thank you for this question, dear Gratefulness-team.
