I am grateful for a number of friends who have shown me kindness in so many forms, for the kindness of my acupuncturist, herbalist, and counselor. I am thankful for the kindness of God who reminds me every time I am feeling down or stranded that He is with me and will not leave me; no matter how many times I falter, I am not tossed aside but encouraged to keep going. It really helps to stop and consider deeply the many forms of kindness in our lives, whether Divine, human, or animal, even the kindness of Nature with soft spring breezes and lovely flowers. This is especially true when we are perplexed or sad and seeing the darker side of life. When we change our focus to what is right in our world rather than what is lacking, we often become aware that we are very very blessed! It’s funny, when I write “so many people” because my childhood dog was actually the first being whose kindness came to mind. I imagine he didn’t think of himself as being kind, but just naturally expressed his desire for belonging, touch, and affection, and naturally shared his presence. (He also seemed to have a great sense of humor, I have to add). Maybe human kindness can be like this too. The kindest moments are when I feel I belon... So many people, it’s amazing to think of it. My parents have been with me every step of the way. My friends and coworkers are also helping. The hospital and all healthcare workers are very kind to me. I’m extremely grateful to have the resources that I have. I hope that my kindness to others is as giving. We have so much more to give when we are healthy. Most importantly I’m grateful for the love that will not forsake me. The kindness that is univers... I’m grateful for the support I’ve been receiving throughout this challenging time. My parents have been with me every step of the way. My friends and coworkers are also helping. The hospital and all healthcare workers are very kind to me.
