Gratefulness
Ms Caverly, Mr Wilson who are educators that care about their students. grateful
for about 3 months in 2009 I felt at home in the back of my suv. I have felt at home in many places. there were 2 places I did not feel at home and I had to leave. I am grateful for both types of experiences because I have grown from both.
I have love in abundance. I believe people can feel it in my energy and receive it all day.
red is the first color that popped so red u r heat and passion. red I think u bring any pain that I push through into fashion. I believe purple runs through my veins. but, when I give of myself to help others red reigns. I am grateful and thankful for all the colors including red. may today be a day of peace, joy, and positive action…enough said.
I need to include those that oppress…those that willingly or unknowingly participate in actions and systems that hurt others. the agape type of love towards oppressors while working daily for social justice.
when I am in my proper mindset, I am receiving blessings, instruction, help constantly. Thursday I was texting my former student Bryce regarding feeling the need to adjust how I spend my 24 hours in terms of amplifying my message/curriculum to more schools. at 29 he gave sage advice of patience and I accepted what he said as truth. an hour later, another former student Hershel came into my office. when I am in my proper mindset, I am receiving blessings, instruction, help constantly. I hadn’t seen him in like 12 years. he came in and said “I need you for my new foundation regarding athletes and depression”. my mindset and daily grateful living/actions = receiving help. I call it building credit with people.
amazing. thank you!!
that those not considered in power will turn the tables on those in power and create a new world.
Everyone that coached me in basketball, my friend Kamal, my wife, and my 4 children
the spiritual guidance of Jesus. But, I believe the words of Jesus regarding social justice, how we treat ourselves, how we treat others, gratitude, is also found in numerous other texts, traditions, oral histories. they are all part of the collective, part of the universe.
Everyone!! Especially everyone that is struggling with low self worth coupled with irrational/negative outlooks on the possibilities of their life.
treat food as energy. treat the earth food comes from with respect. I treat food as a treat and indulge too much and too much of the wrong kind of food. meat is mostly gone and only consumed like once a week. sugar, however, is consumed way too much. the gift of food and how I consume it reflects on how I feel about myself. I verbally say I want to live for a long time in a healthy manner. my values, however, scream sugar. thank u for this question.
it feels wonderful. deep breathing is definitely needed throughout the day. this question today led me to read an article on how our shallow breathing messes up our oxygen and CO2 balance. thank you for this question as a reminder of the importance of proper breathing!
I think the biggest fear to deal with is the fear of dying. I haven’t had that fear in a minute so I feel fully engaged all day every day. i am working on slight fear of being “lovable” and worthy of the wonderful relationships I have.
starting each day with; 30 to be sturdy 10 of grateful/positive/accurate thinking, 10 of push ups/sit ups/squats, and 10 of motivational/uplifting videos, books, or music puts my mindset right for the day. it provides a foundation for the day. writing down my day’s list of what I’m thankful for before I go to sleep helps my subconscious do it’s work preparing for the next day. both activities help me with seeing every event from a grateful living perspective.
don Miguel Ruiz’ “the four agreements” has helped me immensely in this area. taking things as they are instead of presupposing and jumping to conclusions has made a real and positive change. it’s being comfortable with the unknown and with differences from my “norm”.
transforms us individually and collectively. brings peace and calm while simultaneously bringing excitement and joy. love is the highest vibration/energy. in terms of the collective, love our neighbor as ourselves is the highest commandment given to us. show love.
