When I was going to my local store, I met two girls having a lotteri to collect money for the brass band at their school. You could buy «lodd» ( I dont know What you call it in english), and if you are lucky you’ll WIN something when the drawing is later on. You could win consert tickets, gift cards in shopping centres, an so on. I descided this was the moment to surprise them.
I bought four «lodd» from each of them. But insteed of writing my name in their lodd books, I told them to write their own names and parents phone number. So if some of my «lodd» number is drawn as winner, These girls will be contacted insteed of me.
When they understood my intention, they became very happy, I had to help them to see that they had written their one names 4 times, to Get the four lodds each to WIN.
One of the girls fathers was there with them, he was quite overwhelmed, had never experienced something like that before. I told him it was my way of thanking them for playing of the band. It is so valuable to learn to play an instrument, for each child for lifetime, and for us that have the pleasure to listen to them.
I left the them with a glad, good feeling in my heart. Its so fun to surprise someone with a friendly action:)
After months of trying to figure the spiritual path God has laid out for me, I had the unexpected realization that God has wired me to be quite monastic. And the opportunity in that is to take extended periods of time to withdraw with him in prayer, worship and meditation, and not feel guilty about what I’m not doing, but be grateful that what I am doing delights Him.
Abraham Heschel said that “radical amazement” is the proper response to our experience of the divine. My moment right now is filled with the divine. I shall try and respond to my eternal moments with radical amazement.
I’m am in the process of a very difficult life change. I’m finally realizing that I have to learn to work with my anxieties and push through them in order to receive my ultimate goal.
I tend to dwell on the past and worry too much about the past and I’m realizing that I can’t do anything but live in the moment. So today I will be live in the in the present, let go of the past and not worry about the future.
The puppy is calm, lying on the rug resting. It is the first time in weeks that I don’t have to be supervising his every move. If i get up from the sofa the madness will start. I think i will use this opportunity to create a short film on my smartphone. Ive been compiling clips and ideas, now i will see what they all say.
The opportunity at this moment is to see the good and have hope. Each moment I have the choice to begin again and find the good. Look at fear in the face and see that it’s not overwhelming! I can do it!
Like the quote of the day is leading us to believe! Believing in yourself means everything! Love and hope makes out dreams happen!
